MADISON, Wis. -- Wisconsin senior captain Blayre Turnbull netted her first career hat trick to lead the No. 3 UW women's hockey team to a 5-0 win on Senior Night over No. 7 Minnesota Duluth on Saturday night at LaBahn Arena.

Turnbull became the first in school history to score three power-play goals in a single game, tallying two power-play goals in the first period before tacking on a goal midway through the third.

Freshman Annie Pankowski had a goal and two assists, while fellow freshmen Emily Clark tallied UW's final goal. Junior defenseman Courtney Burke had a career-high four assists in the win.

Ann-Renee Desbiens pitched her second-straight shutout, stopping all 20 saves in the win. Desbiens now has 11 shutouts this year, the second-most by a UW netminder in a single season.

Wisconsin went 4-of-8 on the power play, while holding UMD 0-of-4 on its power-play chances. The Badgers have killed their past 51 penalties, a streak that dates back to Oct. 24, 2014.  UW has killed 90 of its opponents 93 power plays for a conversion rate of .968, the best mark in the NCAA.

UW hits the road next weekend for a road series at Ohio State. Faceoff on Friday is set for 5 p.m. (CT), while Saturday's contest at the OSU Ice Rink begins at 3 p.m.
