MADISON, Wis. – Frank Kaminsky of the No. 5 Wisconsin men's basketball team was announced as Big Ten Co-Player of the Week by the conference office on Monday, his third such accolade this season.

The senior from Lisle, Illinois, recorded a pair of double-doubles last week in wins at Nebraska and versus Illinois. He brought his season total to a league leading 10 double-doubles, including five in Big Ten play.

Having scored at least 20 points in nine games this season, Kaminsky tallied 23 points and 11 rebounds against Illinois on Sunday. He also had a well-rounded outing at Nebraska, finishing with 13 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and three blocks.

Kaminsky becomes the first player in the conference to win Player of the Week honors three times this season. He also earned the distinction on Dec. 29 and was named Co-Big Ten Player of the Week on Nov. 24.

The fifth conference Player of the Week honor in his career, Kaminsky ties Kirk Penney for the most in school history.

Averaging a team-leading 17.6 points and 8.4 rebounds per game, Kaminsky ranks in the top five of the Big Ten for each category. The 7-footer also leads UW in blocks (38), assists (59) and field goal percentage (.548).

Wisconsin travels to face Penn State on Wednesday at 6 p.m. (CT).
