UW Fraternity raises money for childhood cancer research
MADISON (WKOW) -- The Theta Chi Fraternity at UW-Madison is once again raising money for childhood cancer research.
"Ski For Cancer" has been running annually since 1969, raising money for childhood cancer research. This year the event will be held on Saturday, March 7.
Money raised goes towards the MACC Fund as well as a grassroots effort to support 2-year-old Kaylyn Knight-Thompson. Kaylyn is facing an aggressive brain cancer, putting her mother in the unfortunate spot of being out of work and unable to afford much of the treatment she greatly needs.
Fraternity brothers want more than just college students to come out for the fun event. They're encouraging all of the Madison area to join in to raise money for children with cancer.
