MADISON (WKOW) -- A local high school basketball team paid tribute Tuesday night to Tony Robinson, the 19 year old, unarmed man who was shot and killed by a Madison policeman in an east side neighborhood.
Members of the Madison East boy's team and spectators chanted his name after their playoff victory.
Some of the players and people in the crowd also wore shirts that said "Black Lives Matter."
Players say they wanted to honor tony by winning.
"We got friends and close family members in this whole gym who was deeply hurt by what happened and that game out there was for him," said senior D'Angelo Millan.
The Madison East-Middleton game was supposed to be played last Saturday, but was postponed because of the shooting the previous night.
