ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (AP) — Cuba City won its state-record 11th WIAA girls basketball championship on Saturday, capping an undefeated season by beating Fall Creek 56-43 for back-to-back Division 4 championships.

It wasn't easy for the Cubans (28-0), who trailed 31-29 late in the third quarter. However, they scored 10 of the final 12 points of the period to take a 39-33 lead, then got a long 3-pointer from Chloe Pustina on the opening possession of the fourth to extend the lead to 42-33.

Cuba City has won six state crowns in the past 11 seasons.

Tatum Mayenschein tallied 11 points and 13 rebounds for the Crickets (25-3). Whitney Folkers added 10 rebounds for Fall Creek, which was plus-nine in rebounds but turned over the ball 17 times.
