MADISON (WKOW) -

Traevon Jackson returned to practice for the Badgers. However, that does not necessarily mean the senior will suit up for the NCAA Tournament opener Friday against Coastal Carolina.

"We'll see. Honestly, it's like a 50/50 chance. I'm not like 100% sure honestly. I'm not really rushing back at all."

The next step for Jackson is to get comfortable with his conditioning and the strength of his foot. Jackson said that is a day-to-day process. The former starting guard isn't willing to risk injury or possibly hurt his team by coming back too soon. Still, Jackson realizes it's now or never.

"Honestly, I'll be OK if I don't play the rest of the season because it's not really that big of a deal to me to where it's like I have to play. I want to be 100% to help the team. I don't want to be a burden to the team. If I come back, when I come back, I want to be 100 percent, but I've accepted the fact that it doesn't matter like, 'I have to be here.' So, I'm OK with that."

Jackson has missed the past 17 games after breaking his foot on Jan. 11.
