Hacker, Hagge run it out on track at Middleton regional meet
MIDDLETON (WKOW) -- There's a new rivalry emerging on the track in the Madison area between Olin Hacker of Madison West and Perrin Hagge of Middleton. Hagge has the top time in the state in the 1600 meter run at 4.13.44, with Hacker right behind at 4:13.50. Hagge has really come out of no where to give Hacker a run for his money. Hacker is one of the top distance runners in the state as a state champion in both track in cross country. Hagge took the top time in the 1600 meter run at the Middleton regionals at 4:23.67, with Hacker behind at 4:27.73. "When you're racing great people you have to go your hardest just to give it a go, I think it really helps me run my fastest," Hacker said.
"My times are by far impacted by Olin even when I'm not racing him. He's a good person to be thinking about when training, he's always there and hopefully coming these next couple races we'll have some good competition and get some low times, both of us," Hagge said.
