MADISON (WKOW) -

Edgewood High School will soon have state-of-the-art outdoor athletic facilities thanks to a huge gift from the Goodman Foundation. The school broke ground on a $1.5 million outdoor athletic complex after receiving a $1.025 million gift from the Goodman Foundation.

The new complex will feature an artificial turf field for football, soccer, lacrosse and softball games. The field will be surrounded by a new track and field surface.

Athletic director Chris Zwettler says the hope is the field will be completed by August 14. The track project should be finished sometime around Labor Day.
