GRAND CHUTE, Wisconsin (WKOW) - It's the first, and hopefully not the last.

Today, the Rio High School baseball team captured their first Division 4 state title with a 1-0 shutout over hard-hitting Ithaca at Fox Cities Stadium.

The Bulldogs complied 108 runs in the eight games before the championship title fight.

Freshman Trajan Prochnow tossed 6 complete innings, giving up 6 hits and no runs. "I told them I just needed one run and they got it done for me," Prochnow said after hugging family  members and friends after their win.

The game-winning run came in the bottom of he 5th off of Jacob Black's one-out single to left field. Noah Hollander scored from second base.

Ithaca, who lost in the semifinals last year, finishes 23-4 as state runners-up. Rio finished 23-4 as well.
