Oregon girls soccer wins first state championship with 3-0 victory
MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- The Oregon girls soccer team made history in dominating fashion. The Panthers won the program's first ever state title with a 3-0 win over Green Bay Southwest on Saturday and that followed a 4-0 victory over Whitefish Bay in the semifinals on Friday. Oregon raised Division II gold ball thanks to two goals scored by Jen Brien and one from Paityn Fleming. Brien scored four total goals in the two state tournament games. The Panther defense limited Green Bay Southwest to just one shot in the 90 minutes of the state championship game. Oregon ended the season with a 23-0-1 record. It was the program's first ever appearance to the state tournament.
