MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin men's basketball junior Nigel Hayes has accepted an invitation from USA Basketball to take part in the 2015 U.S. Pan American Games Men's Basketball Team training camp in Colorado Springs, Colorado, July 7-13.

The USA training camp will be held at the United States Olympic Training Center to determine the 12 players who will represent the United States at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada, this summer.

Hayes is among the USA Basketball training camp roster that includes a mix of 16 current collegians and six players who have most recently played professionally. Last season as a sophomore Hayes started all 40 games during UW's run to the Final Four and the national championship game. The 2015 Third Team All-Big Ten honoree ranked second on UW with 6.2 rebounds per game and third in scoring at 12.4 points per game.

In addition to Hayes, the U.S. Pan American Games Men's Basketball Team training camp roster is set to include Ron Baker (Wichita State); Malcolm Brogdon (Virginia); Bobby Brown (Dongguan Leopards, China); Isaiah Cousins (Oklahoma); Micah Downs (Avtodor Saratov, Russia); Kellen Dunham (Butler); Rico Gathers (Baylor); Isaac Haas (Purdue); Malcolm Hill (Illinois); Ryan Hollins (Sacramento Kings); Keith Langford (UNICS Kazan, Russia); Shawn Long (Louisiana); Monte' Morris (Iowa State); Taurean Prince (Baylor); Anthony Randolph (Lokomotiv-Kuban, Russia); Joshua Scott (Colorado); Kaleb Tarczewski (Arizona); Romelo Trimble (Maryland); Denzel Valentine (Michigan State); Fred Van Vleet (Wichita State); and Damien Wilkins (Indios de Mayagüez, Puerto Rico).

Mark Few of Gonzaga University will serve as head coach of the 2015 U.S. Pan American Games Men's Basketball Team. Tad Boyle from the University of Colorado and longtime NBA coach Mike Brown have been selected as assistant coaches. The training camp will also feature a trio of court coaches, including Jason Flanigan (Holmes Community College), Ron Hunter (Georgia State) and Mark Turgeon (Maryland).

The 2015 Pan American Games men's basketball competition will take place July 21-25 in Toronto, Canada. The U.S. men have been placed into Group A and will play at all three of its preliminary round games at 8 p.m. CT, including Venezuela on July 21, Puerto Rico on July 22 and Brazil on July 23. Competing in Group B will be Argentina, Canada, Dominican Republic and Mexico.

The top two teams from each preliminary-round group will advance to the medal-round semifinals on July 24, while the third and fourth-place teams will play for fifth-eighth places. The semifinal winners will compete for the gold medal on July 25, and the semifinal losers will play for bronze.
