Madison paratriathlete up for ESPY award

MADISON (WKOW) -- The Madison area has an athlete who is up for an ESPY. 23-year old Kendall Gretsch is one of five finalists for the "Best Female athlete with a Disability." Gretsch was born with spina bifida, a birth defect with the spinal cord, but her condition has not stopped her from becoming an impressive athlete. Three years ago Gretsch was introduced to the paratriathalon, which includes swimming, biking and a form of running, which Gretsch has thrived in. In 2014 Gretsch become a world champion after just one year in the international circuit of paratriathalons.
