Predators Sign Jack Dougherty To Entry-Level Deal

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (WKOW) – The Nashville Predators announced Friday that the club has signed 2014 second-round selection Jack Dougherty to a three-year entry-level contract. 

Dougherty spent the 2014-2015 season at the University of Wisconsin, tying for fourth among Big Ten freshmen defensemen in points (2g-7a-9pts). The 6-1, 186-pound blueliner is from St. Paul, Minnesota. He played with the U.S. National Team Development Program in 2013-2014 and helped the U.S wins it's fifth gold metal in a six-year span at the Under-18 World Championships in 2014. 

Nashville's third choice, 51st overall, in the 2014 Entry Draft, will play his first season with the Western Hockey League's Portland Winterhawks in 2015-2016
