Packers push bike safety

GREEN BAY (WKOW) -- The Packers are known for the training camp bicycle tradition, so the team wants to make sure kids are safe on their rides.

The Packers, Bellin Health and the Safe Kids Coalition teamed up to provide free bicycle helmets to hundreds of kids at Lambeau Field Thursday.

It was part of a bike rodeo where kids could practice their riding skills.

"The parents actually come through this and say 'Oh, I didn't know I was supposed to do that.' So it's even good to refresh as an adult, not only kids, and every year do this so it stays fresh in their mind," said Jedd Bradley, De Pere Community Resource Officer.

Families could also enter a drawing to win prizes, including a bike signed by a packers player or tickets to Packers Family Night.
