Wisconsin football holds annual Media Day

MADISON (WKOW) -- The Badger football team reported to Camp Randall Stadium on Sunday, but it was really a day of leisure. The Badgers started the day with their annual Media Day as Paul Chryst and the players answered questions from the press. The team then took its annual photo, which was followed by Family Fun Day. The real action doesn't start until Monday morning when the Badgers hold their first practice of fall camp. Monday will be the first of 29 practices leading up to their season opener on September 5th against Alabama.

"I'm really excited to get this going and tomorrow certainly starts it. I'm proud of the way the kids worked this summer and I've enjoyed continuing to get to know this team, Chryst said.

"I've kind of had that anxious feeling in my stomach for a month now, camp's right around the corner, camp's right around the corner, and here it is so I think the whole team's excited," center Dan Voltz said.

"This whole summer when we've been working out it's been something we've all been looking forward to because because we're back to doing what we love to do," cornerback Sojourn Shelton said.
