Soil tests begin at new Bucks training facility site
MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- As Governor Scott Walker was signing the state's part of the new Milwaukee Bucks arena deal Wednesday, work crews were already testing soil at the site of the team's new training facility, which is next to the arena site.
The team's president says architects and designers have been hard at work for months.
"They haven't stopped. We have kind of been consistent on a parallel path. We are designing this arena to break ground in October-November, and really make some progress, so there's no time to waste," said Buck's president Peter Feigin.
Milwaukee's common council is expected to vote on the city's $47 million piece of the plan on September 22.
