Posted: Updated:

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin football team will play Syracuse in a home-and-home series in 2020 and 2021, the schools announced on Thursday. In addition, the Badgers’ future games at BYU and at South Florida have been adjusted. UW will now play at BYU in 2017 and at USF in 2019.

The series against Syracuse will start with the Badgers hosting the Orange at Camp Randall on Sept. 12, 2020. UW will then travel to Syracuse on Sept. 11, 2021. The teams have met five times previously, with the last meeting coming in the 1997 Kickoff Classic in East Rutherford, N.J. Syracuse holds a 3-1-1 advantage in the series, including a 2-1 mark at Camp Randall. The 2020 game will mark SU’s first appearance in Madison since 1972.

Wisconsin was originally scheduled to travel to USF in 2017 and play at BYU in 2019. The Badgers will now travel to Provo to take on the Cougars on Sept. 16, 2017. BYU will return to Camp Randall Stadium the following season.

The Badgers and USF squared off last year, with UW winning 27-10 in Madison. The return trip to Tampa will now open the 2019 season, with the Bulls hosting Wisconsin on Aug. 31.

In addition, Wisconsin has added home games against New Mexico (Sept. 8, 2018), Central Michigan (Sept. 7, 2019) and North Texas (Oct. 5, 2019).

In addition to the series with Syracuse, Wisconsin has future home-and-home series scheduled with Washington State (2022 and 2023), Virginia Tech (2024 and 2025) and Hawaii (2022 and 2024).
