MADISON (WKOW) -- The last two seasons were historic for the Wisconsin volleyball team. The Badgers were national runners-up in 2013 and in 2014 won the Big Ten Championship and went to the NCAA Regional Final. Wisconsin graduated seven seniors from the 2014 squad, but returns Big Ten Player of the Year Lauren Carlini, along with Taylor Morey and Haleigh Nelson. The 2015 Badgers are younger, but the expectations for the program remain the same.

"We've got one senior, but I don't think the goals change. Hopefully we put ourselves in position again for another Big Ten Championship, that's a goal and then ultimately to try to capture our first national championship," head coach Kelly Sheffield said.

"Every year, it doesn't matter whether we have all news kids, whether we have all returners, we expect the same success no matter what, no matter who the squad is," Carlini said.

The Badgers are ranked fifth in the preseason polls. They open their season on August 28th.
