MADISON (WKOW) -

The Badgers have had a revolving door on the offensive line. As of Tuesday, four different players who had been starting at one point or another this fall were out with injury. Veterans Dan Voltz and Tyler Marz have stayed healthy. However, Voltz says they've grown accustomed to lining up next to different teammates.

"You've got to look at it as a positive thing. The more combinations of linemen you can have, the more prepared you'll be for the season because, like I said, it's unfortunate but guys go down. It's just the reality of the game. Right now, we're kind of preparing for the worst."

On Tuesday, Marz and Voltz were joined by three redshirt freshmen in the starting lineup. Michael Deiter, Micah Kapoi and Jacob Maxwell are currently holding down the other three spots. Kapoi said he believed all along the Badgers would have the depth to withstand the wave of injuries.

"The depth that we had, I knew players could step up, people could step up, we would be fine. Honestly, it didn't feel like those injuries were big on us."

Still, the Badgers have little time to build chemistry along the offensive line with the season opener against Alabama looming in just 11 days.
