Packers Cobb hurt in third preseason game

GREEN BAY, Wisconsin (WKOW) --

Six days after losing wide receiver Jordy Nelson to an ACL injury in their preseason loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Green Bay Packers might be down another.

On the third play for the Packers, wide receiver Randall Cobb was injured on the Packers third play from scrimmage in their eventual 39-26 preseason loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. He appeared to land hard on his right shoulder while attempting to catch a pass from rookie quarterback Brett Hundley.

Last season, Cobb caught 91 passes for 1,287 yards and 12 touchdowns. Those numbers were second on the team to those of Nelson, who had 98 catches for 1,519 yards and 13 touchdowns.

As of now, the injury is not deemed serious and the Packers are optimistic.
