MADISON (WKOW) -- It's hard to imagine a more daunting way to make a debut as head coach, going against third-ranked Alabama, in primetime, standing across the field from Nick Saban. Welcome back to Wisconsin Paul Chryst. Five days from now the Badgers will kick off the 2015 season against the Crimson Tide and whether he likes it or not, one of the big storylines will be centered around the new head coach, who back leading his alma mater on the big stage. Though at his press conference on Monday, Chryst tried to deflect the focus.

"It's not about me and I've never gone into a game where I've felt it was about me. This game is a big game. It's probably happening because of what both programs have done previous years. This game is solely about these two teams Saturday night," Chryst said.

"It's a good barometer of where our team is going to be at this season. Whether we win or lose or be competative and what not, I think [Chryst] looks at it as a good challenge to start the year off and he's excited to see what we can do," Badgers linebacker Joe Schobert said.
