McEvoy sees opportunities in multiple positions

Posted: Updated:

MADISON, Wisconsin (WKOW) -- The Wisconsin Badgers snapped back with a snazzy win in head coach Paul Chryst's home debut on Saturday afternoon.
And while their 58-0 rout helped to rid the Badgers of the bad taste left in their mouth after Bama, but what was really impressive, was redshirt senior Tanner McEvoy.

He didn't just play one position against Miami University, he played three: quarterback, wide receiver, and safety.
McEvoy had one quarterback keep in the Badgers first series before moving out to wide receiver, his newest position. He finished with three catches for 29 yards.
But out of his 73 snaps, McEvoy played 51 of them at safety. There he had a huge interception, where he tacked on a 41-yard pick up that ultimately set up a touchdown on UW's following drive.

The Badgers face Troy on Saturday, September 19th at 2:30.
