Hunting enthusiasts gear up for annual Bird Dog Jamboree

Posted: Updated:

ARGYLE (WKOW) -- Bird Dog Jamboree is a not-for-profit organization that strives to unite the strength of bird dog lovers, whether they hunt or not.

Event organizers say many canine hunting partners are left alone and uncared for every day.  Their mission is simple, to support birddog rescue through their time and fundraising efforts.

On Monday, Sharon Sinklair and Jeff Kopp stopped by Wake Up Wisconsin to discuss the annual Bird Dog Jamboree.

During the event various events will be held for both avid bird dog lovers and the general public.  The event will be held Saturday, October 3 at the Argyle Rod and Gun Club outside of Argyle WI.

It is an all day event with seminars, field trials, shooting events, and demonstrations.  The day will end with a banquet and silent auction.

This years proceeds are going to benefit the Boykin Spaniel rescue.  In the past they have gone to the Texas Sporting Breed rescue and the Illinois Pointing Dog rescue.

There will be other informative clinics as well as tours of Savanna Springs.    Click here if you would like to learn more information about the 2015 Bird Dog Jamboree.
