MADISON (WKOW) -- One in seven adults in Dane County struggles with literacy, according to the Literacy Network of Dane County. That's 55,000 people in our community.
Jeff Burkhart with the Literacy Network talked with WKOW on Wake Up Wisconsin Tuesday about how you can help or get help. The Network is hosting the Run for Literacy on Sunday, October 11 on State Street and down Lakeshore Path. It's a 5K and 10K run and 5K walk that starts at 10:30 a.m.
Funds raised at the run/walk will help area adults improve their reading, writing and speaking skills. To learn more or sign up, click on this link.
