State Democrats urge Governor to change mind about BadgerCare
MADISON (WKOW) -- Democratic leaders say Governor Scott Walker and other state Republicans should focus on things that matter in Wisconsin.
A group was at the state Capitol building Tuesday urging the Governor to change his decision to reject the federal money to pay for BadgerCare. Representative Peter Barca (D) of Kenosha says, "This is meaningful. It's important. It's important for people's health care. It's important for people's lives. It's important economically. It's one of the more important things we could do this session."
Barca, the Assembly Minority Leader, urged Republicans to listen to Pope Francis' message during his visit to the U.S., state that we should help those in need.
