Talking Spirits Cemetery Tour returns to Madison's Forest Hill Cemetery

Posted: Updated:

MADISON (WKOW) -- Sunday people from all over Wisconsin are invited to Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison to walk and talk with actors who will be portraying Wisconsin Civil War heroes buried at the cemetery.

The award-winning event, the Talking Spirits Cemetery Tour, illuminates the lives of both prominent and lesser known figures in Wisconsin's history.  Local actors will dress up in period wear to give viewers a first person encounter with scripted vignettes.

The tours begin at noon, October 11 and run every 20 minutes until 4:00 p.m. A tour lasts an hour and a half.  Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children.

Wisconsin Veterans Museum Director, Michael Telzrow, visited Wake Up Wisconsin Saturday morning and discussed his favorite part of the tour and what visitors say is the biggest thing they take away.  To watch his full interview, click on the video version of this story.
