Pie Palooza celebrates Wisconsin-grown ingredients
MADISON (WKOW) -- On Sunday, October 18 REAP Food Group will serve over 1,000 slices of pie from more than 25 local restaurants and bakeries at the 11th Annual Pie Palooza brunch at the Goodman Community Center.
On Wednesday, Hannah Wente, Communications Director for REAP Food Group, stopped by Wake Up Wisconsin to talk about the event.
One ticket includes two slices of diverse and mouth-watering pies, as well as a farm-fresh salad and choice of beverage.
Funds raised at Pie Palooza will support REAP’s Farm to School program, which connects farmers to schools to provide healthy, local snacks and incorporate local fruits and vegetables into school lunches.
The event will also support REAP’s work connecting restaurants to fresh, local produce.
Whole pies will be available for sale at the event until sold out. Click here for more information.
