BLANCHARDVILLE (WKOW) -- One of the last races of the season will honor a young Wisconsin baby and raise money for children with epilepsy.
Mathias Koch was just seven months old when he passed away from epilepsy. He had his first seizure at five months. His family, including mother Mandy, started the Chunky Monkey Epilepsy Run as a way to remember Mathias and help other children living with epilepsy. Mandy talked about her son on Wake Up Wisconsin Tuesday. Click on the video to see her interview.
The Chunky Monkey Epilepsy Run is a 5K, but also includes a Diaper Dash for 0-2 year olds, two 100 yard dashes for 3-4 and 5-7 year olds, and a 400 yard dash for 8-10 year olds. To learn more, sign up, or donate, click on this website.
The run is Saturday, November 7 at Yellowstone Golf Course in Blanchardville.
