Mueller part of six-player class for the Badgers

Posted: Updated:

Verona's Grace Mueller had been receiving recruiting interest from several schools but practiced patience as she waited for her dream offer. That offer finally came when Bobbie Kelsey called with an invitation join the Badgers women's basketball team. Mueller officially became a part of the incoming recruiting class by signing her letter of intent on Wednesday.

"It is so cool just getting to having it be official that my dream has now become a reality is amazing."

Mueller is part of, arguably, Kelsey's best recruiting class. It is certainly the largest. The Badgers signed six incoming freshmen for the 2016-17 season. The group is highlighted by Top 100 recruit Gabby Gregory, a 5'8" guard out of Texas. The Badgers also signed forwards Abby Laszewski and Courtney Fredrickson. Guards Suzanne Gilreath and Alona Johnson round out the class. Johnson is from Milwaukee. She and Mueller are the first in-state Badgers recruits since 2012.
