MADISON (WKOW) -- World Pancreatic Cancer Day is a day to raise awareness about the deadly disease.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the nation’s deadliest cancers, which has a five-year survival rate of just seven percent, according to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
On Friday, Tammy Andries stopped by Wake Up Wisconsin to talk about the importance of raising awareness.
People are asked to join the fight by wearing purple and letting loved ones know you wage hope against the pancreatic cancer.
