VERONA (WKOW) -- The 31st annual Jingle Bell Run will once again benefit the Arthritis Foundation, and it'll be another festive one!
Expect to see people dressed up as reindeer and in other holiday garb as they run and walk their way to the finish line on Saturday, December 12 at Verona Area High School. The race is at 10:30 a.m. You can register that day starting at 9:15 a.m. or early by clicking on this link.
The run includes a 10K run, a 5K run or walk, and a 1 mile walk.
Dee Aussprung, owner of Integrated Physical Therapy will be the medical honoree at the run. She says arthritis affects patients in every daily activity they do. Sophie Kooiman, a sophomore at Verona Area High School, was diagnosed with Juvenile Arthritis when she was 2. She says it impacts her every day, especially in the winter. Mark Dalebroux is once again the Chair of the Jingle Bell Run. He's participated for more than 20 years and says his company, Group Health Cooperative is proud to be involved once again. WKOW is a proud sponsor of this year's event.
