WATERTOWN (WKOW) -- It's common practice in the Wisconsin dairy industry for farmers to share information, but now the dairy industry is international.
Rosy Lane Holsteins in Watertown has had many international interns over the years. Christian Pohlman is one of those interns. He's from Germany and contacted farmer Daphne Holterman asking to work at the farm.
Pohlman will be the fourth generation to run his family's dairy farm back in Germany. Pohlman says, "There are so many cows and so many employees that I think it's very difficult to handle with it, and I think I learn it here very good."
By sharing their knowledge of dairy farming, the Holtermans are helping the worldwide industry improve.
Pohlman started his internship just in time to be able to attend World Dairy Expo; which he said was a great experience.
