The Brewers had a busy final day at the MLB Winter Meetings. The clubs started the day by selecting four players in the Rule 5 Draft.

Milwaukee made two selections in the Major League portion of the draft. Their first pick was infielder Colin Walsh from the Oakland minor league system. The 26-year old hit .302 with 39 doubles, 13 HR, 49 RBI and 124 walks last season at Double-A Midland. The switch hitter spent the majority of his time at second base.

With their second pick, the Brewers selected right-handed pitcher Zack Jones. The 25-year old reliever was 5-4 with a 4.18 ERA at Single-A and Double-A for the Twins. Jones and Walsh were added to the 40-man roster.

In the minor league portion of the Rule 5 Draft, the Brewers acquired left-handed pitcher Mitch Lambson from the Braves organization. They also took right-handed pitcher Kender Villegas from the Cardinals organization.
