MADISON (WKOW) -- Wisconsin running back's coach John Settle told reporters Tuesday night that running back Corey Clement will return to Wisconsin for his senior season. That's what Settle said he was told by Clement. When Clement last spoke to the media in late November, he said unless he received a first or second round NFL Draft grade from scouts, he would return for his senior season. There is no word on whether Clement ever did receive a draft grade.

Clement did not practice with the team on Tuesday. He instead participated in speed and agility drills inside the McClain Center practice facility. The UW coaching staff is hopeful Clement will be healthy enough to play in the Holiday Bowl. If Clement can play, it will give Wisconsin three healthy running backs to work into the lineup, including Dare Ogunbowale and Taiwan Deal.

"We haven't had that situation very often, but I think we'll be good when it occurs," Badgers offensive coordinator Joe Rudolph said.

"Dare's [Ogunbowale] done a great job. It was nice having Taiwan [Deal] roll in. Those two can compliment each other. Obviously Corey has something special that we'd love to have him be out there. That's a good problem to have."

Wisconsin's season opener against Alabama and the home finale against Northwestern were the only games in which the team had had all three running backs participate.
