MADISON (WKOW) -- The holiday parties are about to start if they haven't already, and a registered dietitian from Dean Clinic is offering some advice.
Marianne Merrick says there are simple things you can do to keep your health in check. She says it's all about portion control. "Eat before you leave for the party," Merrick says. "Allow yourself small indulgences and 'plan and scan.'"
Merrick says it's also a good idea to drink water to stay hydrated, especially if you plan to have alcohol at a party.
