MADISON (WKOW) -- Donors are invited to join the American Red Cross, WKOW and The Wisconsin State Journal for a lifesaving tradition on December 24.
This holiday season, the Red Cross is asking you to Give Something that Means Something – to give hope to someone in need by making a blood donation at the 30th Annual Madison Holiday Blood Drive.
At the largest day long blood drive in the American Red Cross Badger-Hawkeye Blood Services Region, all presenting donors will receive a complimentary Red Cross long sleeve T-shirt and will be entered into a raffle to win great prizes. Free parking, childcare, local entertainment and a variety of great refreshments will be provided.
In addition, the Red Cross will be hosting a food & fund drive for Second Harvest Foodbank in conjunction with the Holiday Blood Drive. Please bring non-perishable food items or cash donations to the drive to help those facing hunger.
The Madison Holiday Blood Drive will from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Exhibition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center.
All blood types are needed to ensure an adequate blood supply heading into the new year, and those with types O negative, A negative and B negative are especially encouraged to give. Help us meet the constant need for blood by signing up for an appointment today. Use the sponsor code “HBDMADISON” on redcrossblood.org to register for an appointment at the Madison Holiday Blood Drive on December 24.
