MADISON (WKOW) -- U.S. Bank Eve is happening again in the Madison area with family-friendly celebrations going on at three locations Wednesday evening.
At the U.S. Bank plaza downtown Madison at 1. S. Pinckney Street from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m., families can design their own New Year's look in a craft room by making a colorful celebration visor or create a 2016 calendar. There will be performances by the Children's Theater of Madison starting at 6:30 p.m., plus face painting, a balloon artist, a family photo booth, live zoo animals and a caricature artist. You can also ride the Holiday Trolley around Madison's Capitol Square. It leaves every 15 minutes from the East Washington entrance between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. There will be a balloon countdown at 8:30 p.m.
The second location is Monona Terrace, which goes from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. as well. Acts include Rick Wilcox's Magic Show at 7:00 and 9:00 in the Madison Ballroom; TJ Howell Juggling & Unicycle Show at 7:15 and 8:30 in the Grand Terrace; Dance through the Decades with rock, pop, country and Top 40 with a local DJ from 6:00 - 9:30 p.m. in the Hall of Ideas; Bubble Wonders at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. at the Community Terrace; Wild Rumpus presents... "Try it Yourself Circus with low wire and juggling stations from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. at Exhibition Hall; Big Inflatables • Little Bounces • Giant Slide and Circus Train at Exhibition Hall. There will be a final countdown at 9:30 p.m. at Exhibition Hall with lights, music and balloons.
The third location is at Keva Sports Center at 8312 Forsythia Street in Middleton from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m.. There you can find open play sports including soccer, football, yard games, tumbling, parachute, basketball and more. You and the family can also enjoy music by a local DJ, raffle prizes, temporary tattoos and inflatables for the little ones and pre-teens. There will be cookie decorating from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., as well as concessions and crafts. The balloon drop countdown is at 7:30 p.m.
U.S. Bank Eve tickets are $5 in advance for adults, $3 for children and kids under five are free. Adults are $7 at the door; kids ages 5-15 are $5 at the door. A family pass is $12 in advance and $15 at the door. A family pass includes two adults and three children. You can visit any U.S. Bank branch for details or to buy tickets in advance. A wristband gets you into all three locations.
