GREENVILLE -- Hortonville School District has been awarded $15,000 through the NFL Hometown Grant program and the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board to help facilitate physical activity in its schools.
A group of Packers players went to Greenville Middle School to promote the Fuel Up to Play 60 program.
Morgan Burnett is a safety for the Packers. He says, "It's a big honor. I really enjoy just seeing the kids smile."
The program advisor for Fuel Up to Play 60, Tara Van Caster, and says, "We are setting these programs up at such a young age so then that eating healthy, drinking low-fat milk, fruits, vegetables, and whole grains just becomes second nature for them as that process goes."
The school district is using the $15,000 to purchase and update new gym equipment in each of its schools. You can get your school involved by going to the Fuel Up to Play 60 website.
