TOWN OF GENEVA (WKOW) -- Investigators remained on the scene of an officer-involved shooting late into the night on Friday.

They were searching a home on Como Road.

Juan Villanueva lives near the shooting scene. He told our affiliate, WISN-TV, before police arrived to the area, he noticed "some people in a white van, cussing and causing some kind of commotion."

"Nothing ever happens around here, nothing like that at least," Villanueva said.

About the only thing that police can release about the shooting is that their officer was not hurt.

The state Department of Justice's Division of Criminal Investigation was called in to investigate the shooting. It will receive help from the Walworth County Sheriff's Office.
