Report: Adams unlikely to play for Packers against Cardinals

GREEN BAY (AP) -

The Packers may be short a receiver when they take the field Saturday night against Arizona. A report by ESPN indicates Davante Adams is unlikely to play after being diagnosed with a possible MCL sprain. Mike McCarthy said Tuesday he expects to know more when the Packers suit up for their first practice of the week on Wednesday.

"Davante told me after the game he was fine. The trainers obviously feel differently than that, and it's usually somewhere in between."

Adams was having a good game against the Redskins when he injured the knee. Adams caught four passes for 48 yards and a touchdown prior to the injury.
