Officer accused of stealing resigns from Madison police force

Posted: Updated:

MADISON (WKOW) -- On Wednesday, a Madison Police Department spokesperson confirmed to 27 News that Andrew Pullum has resigned from the force. Authorities say he took approximately four-thousand dollars in cash from the car of an undercover agent.

Spokesperson Joel DeSpain says Pullum handed in his resignation to the police department yesterday. Pullum was arrested on December 18, 2015. This followed an undercover operation in which a federal agent told Pullum there might be money and drugs in a car. If convicted, Pullum faces up to ten years in prison.
