JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- The Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin has an energetic dog at its shelter who needs a good home.
Rachel Patterson and "Vienna" visited the WKOW studios Friday. Vienna is a 2-year-old Terrie and American Pit Bull/Mix.
She is 51 pounds and was found on Hwy 11 in the Town of Janesville. Vienna loves to be with people and is content laying on her blanket next to you taking a nap after she plays a little. She knows sit and stay, and just loves to go out and play, but could use some more training.
Vienna can be picky with her feline and canine friends. She can be protective of her food and toys and tends to get a little too rambunctious around smaller children, so an older home would be best. Vienna is the perfect snuggle buddy on a stormy day. If she sounds like the right addition to your family, then come on in and meet her today!

Patterson also mentioned a great fundraising event, The Fur Ball.
The event includes dinner, dancing and a silent auction to raise money for the thousands of pets the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin cares for every year.
