MADISON (WKOW) -- A few light flurries fell across southern Wisconsin Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Most of the area saw a light dusting to up to a quarter inch. The system that brought us those flurries has caused some bigger issues in other parts of the country.
Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories were issued for parts of Kentucky, Tennessee, and surrounding areas. Some locations saw 3-5" of snow, while others were dealing with freezing rain.
This same system brought up to 4" of snow to Omaha, Nebraska on Tuesday. This was the first big snow of the season for that area. Drivers were having trouble getting through the snow safely. Some roads were even closed due to the high number of stranded cars.
