Badgers pick up first sweep in nearly three months vs. Nanooks

MADISON, Wis. (Per UW Athletics)  The Wisconsin men’s hockey team (6-12-6, 1-7-2-1 Big Ten) used goals from five different skaters to finish of a sweep of Alaska (7-15-4, 5-11-4 WCHA) on Saturday at the Kohl Center.

With the score 1-1 headed into the third period, UW outscored Alaska 4-1 for the 5-2 victory. UW had scored 11 goals in third periods this season.

Four Badgers had multi-point games, including Luke Kunin (1g, 1a), Cameron Hughes (1g, 1a), Seamus Malone (2a), Adam Rockwood (2a).

Matt Jurusik made 30 saves in the victory.
