New top dog named at 140th Westminster Kennel Club dog show
NEW YORK (WKOW) -- There's a new top dog in town; CJ the German short haired-pointer was named 'Best in Show' Tuesday night at the 140th Westminster Kennel Club dog show.
Nearly 3,000 dogs competed this year, including 7 new breeds. But California Journey, or CJ for short, came out on top. He's only the third of his breed to bring home the massive ribbon, the first since 1987.
CJ might have won the judges' hearts, but a leonberger called Dario was definitely the crowd favorite.
He didn't seem to care that he was at the world's most famous dog show. He was much more determined to get his paws on the treats that were in his handler's pocket.
