MADISON (WKOW) -- Many people have heard of Porchlight, the organization in Madison that helps area homeless, but they may not have heard of its program called "Porchlight Products."
"Porchlight Products" are a variety of items made at the organization's food service kitchen on Brooks Street and all are make with locally-grown ingredients. The people who make them are Porchlight employees. Executive Director of Porchlight, Steve Schooler, came on Wake Up Wisconsin Tuesday to talk more about it and the products they sell.
There's an event Thursday, February 25 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery. The night features Porchlight products paired with appetizers and desserts created by some of Madison's top chefs. There will be a live auction as well.
