Sad update for Misty the dog, vet discovers cancer

Posted: Updated:

COLUMBIA COUNTY (WKOW) --- Misty the dog has Osteosarcoma, according to Columbia County Humane Society.

Last week, Misty was rushed in after her tumor ruptured.  That tumor was sent in for testing after being removed.  According to the Columbia County Humane Society, that form of cancer is aggressive and attacks the lungs.

Here is the post by the Columbia County Humane Society:

The prognosis for this form of cancer is a 90 day life expectancy from surgery. We are very saddened by this news but are determined to give Misty the best days of her life in her foster home. She is loved, cared for and has great foster parents who adore her. We will keep Misty's health and quality of life in mind when making decisions about her and will do our very best to keep her healthy and happy as long as we can. Please hug your healthy pets and keep Misty in your thoughts. Thank you.

Misty was found in a zipped up camping bag in a wildlife area in Columbia County back in January.  She was found beaten and left for dead.
