Albrecht principal gives students memorable performance after they meet reading goal

Posted: Updated:

BRODHEAD (WKOW) -- The principal of Albrecht Elementary School in Brodhead was willing to look like a little silly if it meant students met a reading goal this year. And of course, students stepped up!

In a school of only about 500 kids, reaching the goal of reading 250,000 minutes over a couple of weeks is pretty impressive! So Principal David Novy agreed to be duct taped to the wall and dressed up while dancing and lip-syncing during a school assembly. The performance was posted on YouTube.

The students really seemed to enjoy their principal performing with other staff members.

The students of Albrecht met their goal just in time. Wednesday, March 2 is National Read Across America Day.
