MADISON (WKOW) -- Producers Kevin McCollum, Doug Morris and Berry Gordy, and Broadway Across America, are excited to bring "Motown the Musical" to Overture Center for the Arts.

Featuring more than 40 classic hits such as "My Girl" and "Ain't No Mountain High Enough," Motown the Musical tells the story behind the hits.

On Friday, one of the young stars of the show, 13-year-old, Leon Outlaw, Jr. stopped by Wake Up Wisconsin to perform.

The musical is the true American dream story of Motown founder Berry Gordy’s journey from featherweight boxer to the heavyweight music mogul who launched the careers of Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Smokey Robinson and many more.  Motown shattered barriers, shaped our lives and made us all move to the same beat.

Tickets are available in person at the ticket office, by phone at 608.258.4141 or click here

"Motown the Musical" runs through Sunday, March 6.
