Badgers women's hockey advances to WCHA championship game

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (WKOW) -

The Badgers women's hockey team is back in the WCHA championship game. Wisconsin knocked off Minnesota Duluth 5-0 in the semifinals to punch a ticket to Sunday's title game.

The No. 3 Badgers had five different players score in the contest. Mikaela Gardner, Courtney Burke, Annie Pankowski, Kim Drake and Sarah Nurse all scored. Ann-Renee Desbiens stopped 17 shots to earn her 19th shutout of the season. 

The Badgers will face either Minnesota or North Dakota on Sunday at 2 p.m. for the championship.
